Last Thursday at the drop-in, the kids were treated to a music class (with the help of a special guest)! Everyone got to try out different instruments such as the ukulele, guitar, and saxophone.
Musical education fosters creativity, encourages imaginative expression, and stimulates brain development (in areas such as language processing) in young children! And it is an excellent opportunity to bond with your child.
At Ready Set Go, we believe that kids learn best through play. Play enables children to explore new activities, skills, and roles without fear of failure. Kids learn best when they are interested and engaged in what they are doing!
Check out photos of some of our kids at work (at play) from our first few weeks of Ready Set School!
Today, we say a heartfelt goodbye to the best volunteer coordinator an organization could ask for. Nicole has worked at Ready Set Go for over two years and poured her heart and soul into everything she has done here. While we are sad to see her go, we are so excited for the great things that are coming her way!
Thank you so much for all that you’ve done for Ready Set Go, Nicole! We wouldn’t be where we are today if it wasn’t for you. Best wishes for all of your future endeavours, we here at RSG know that you will be successful in whatever you do.
